Discomfort

After the root canal system has been permanently sealed, Endodontic treatment has been completed. However, the outer surface may have been sealed with a temporary restoration only. A follow-up restoration must be placed to protect your tooth against fracture and decay. Please telephone your restorative dentist for an appointment.

A complete report of treatment will be sent to your restorative dentist.

The Endodontist may suggest a recall appointment to check on the healing of the tooth and surrounding bone. This appointment will require only a few minutes and no additional fee will be charged. If recommended, you will be sent a reminder card for this 6 month follow up appointment.
